Man severely injured in Pueblo train accident

A man was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon after being hit by a train near Walmart on Dillon Drive.

Michael Holmes, 22, had both legs severed and severely injured his arm after being struck by the train.

Holmes was transported to a local hospital and is listed in serious condition.

Train personnel reported seeing something on the tracks ahead of them and tried to stop but were unable to, according to police.
