Police are looking for five boys who robbed a man at gunpoint Wednesday night in southeastern Colorado Springs.

At 9:50 p.m., police were called to the 800 block of Boggs Place to investigate a report of shots fired.

When they arrived, police talked with a man who said he had been walking in the neighborhood when five boys carrying handguns asked him for a cigarette.

The boys demanded that the man hand over his personal belongings, police say the man told them. He refused and began to walk away.

The boys then surrounded him, pointed a gun at his head and robbed him. Police did not say what they took.

The man said he saw the robbers run toward Adams Park. He said he then heard several gunshots.

Police found one residence in the area that was struck by stray gunfire, but no one was hurt.
