A man found dead in a suspected meth lab near Monument last week has been identified as 42-year-old Rodney Tigges. Tigges was found Nov. 13 by El Paso County Sheriff's Office deputies in a house on the 2800 block of Hunters Glen Road - east of Highway 25 and south of County Line Road - during a search for a man on probation.

Upon request from a probation officer to help locate a man who had a warrant for his arrest, deputies entered the home and found the man's body around 11 a.m. There were no obvious signs of foul play and no outward signs of trauma seen during the autopsy, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. Final autopsy results were pending toxicology results.

Deputies also found a suspected active methamphetamine lab, prompting response by the sheriff's office HAZMAT team, a news release stated.
