Gazette Premium Content Man arrested in burglary at Colorado Springs adult store

Colorado Springs police arrested a 47-year-old man Wednesday who they say broke into an adult novelty store and walked off with two large trash cans filled with a "plethora of sex items."

Keith Gruda entered Christal's, 2582 S. Academy Blvd., through a damaged window and then "filled two large plastic trash cans with merchandise and fled out the back door," police said.

An officer was alerted to a suspicious male in the area and made contact with Gruda, "who was near a large plastic trash can filled with stolen items from Christal's," police said.

Gruda fled into a field and hid but was found with the help of a police canine, officers said.

Gruda was arrested on suspicion of burglary, obstructing a police officer and attempting to influence a public official, police said.
