A pair was arrested on suspicion of second degree assault on a police officer Sunday night at the 4200 block of Vesper Drive, Colorado Springs police said.

Officers were called to a large disturbance at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Police attempted to arrest one man, later identified as Little C. Thomas, who punched an officer in the face in response, police say. Police subsequently shocked the man with a Taser and arrested him.

Soon after, another person spat on an officer and she was arrested at well. She was later identified as Tia Fletcher.

Thomas, identified as an active-duty Fort Carson soldier in El Paso County jail records, was held in lieu of $10,000 bail Monday morning. Fletcher was held in lieu of $2,000 bail Monday, jail records show.
