A homeless man wielding a machete accosted a group of construction workers repairing the Cimarron West Bridge on Thursday, police said.

The five workers were uninjured when Edward Bufkin, 35, appeared with the blade and demanded that they stop covering up graffiti, said Jeffrey Jurew, Rural Transportation Authority's project manager for bridge repair.



Police arrested Bufkin on outstanding warrants, said police Sgt. Tim Hogan.
