Love your dog enough to wear a sweater made from its fur? This Colorado woman can make it happen.

People from all over the world are mailing their dog’s hair to Pat Martinek in Golden.

She most recently corresponded with people in Greenland and Germany, she said, standing beside a stack of 10 or so boxes containing the hair of a poodle, an Australian shepherd, a great Pyrenees and more.

Martinek is a fiber artist and spins it into yarn, knits, weaves and felts on commission through her business, the Fyber Cafe.

Almost all of her commissions these days are for dog hair — called chiengora.
