Fridays at the Fine Arts Center

The Fine Arts Center annouced that the museum galleries will stay open until 7 p.m. on Fridays through Sept. 13.

 

'Art In Public Places'

The Art Commission of the Pikes Peak Region recently hosted a meeting of "Art In Public Places." It brought artists and cultural groups together to talk about community initiatives to get the public more involved in the arts experience. Guest Margaret Hunt, executive director of Colorado Creative Industries, addressed the group and led a brainstorming session.

 

Iconic exhibit coming to Denver Art Museum

The exhibit "Picasso to Pollock: Modern Masterworks from the Albright-Knox Art Gallery" will be at the Denver Art Museum next year, March 2-June 8. About 50 iconic pieces will be on display by more than 40 artists, including Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Georgia O'Keeffe, Salvador Dali, Frida Kahlo, Andy Warhol and Jackson Pollock.
