Last day for Colorado flood victims to register for FEMA assistance

Monday is the last day for victims of the September floods to register for Federal Emergency Management Agency disaster assistance.

FEMA extended its deadline beyond Nov. 30 to allow residents along the Front Range one more chance to apply for individual and small business assistance related to the torrential floods that hit areas of Colorado from El Paso County to the Wyoming border Sept. 11 to 15.

Residents of all 11 counties effected by the storms have until 8 p.m. Monday. They can register with FEMA by calling 800-621-3362 or by going online to disasterassistance.gov.

The effected areas include El Paso, Fremont, Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Clear Creek, Jefferson, Larimer, Logan, Morgan and Weld counties.
