DOSWELL, Va. (AP) — Kings Dominion plans to hire 4,000 workers to fill entertainment, food and beverage and other seasonal positions.

Auditions for entertainment jobs are scheduled Feb. 8 at the 400-acre theme park in Hanover County.

Applications must be submitted online at www.kingsdominion.com/jobs. Qualified candidates will be contacted to conduct an on-site interview.

The 2014 season will begin April 5. It will be the park's 40th season.

As part of the park's 40th Celebration, Kings Dominion says it will bring back icons such as the Singing Mushrooms and oversized candy apples in the newly re-themed Candy Apple Grove section.
