As part of a new JCPenney Kids Zone program, children can decorate a holiday ornament at all JCPenney stores 11 a.m.-noon Saturday, Dec. 16.
The program is free, and no sign-up is needed, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Participants should go to the children’s department and look for a projects table.
The retailer is hosting a new project each month as part of its Kids Zone program.
Other upcoming hands-on projects include making a Valentine’s Day card holder on Jan. 20, creating a mosaic bird house on Feb. 17 and decorating Easter eggs on March 10.
Advance sign up is not required.
Kids receive a collectible pin for every project they finish. And after each event, adults will receive a 10 percent off coupon to use in-store on the day of the event. This coupon can be used in addition to current marketing promotions.
