A juvenile was arrested Wednesday evening after an explosion in his neighborhood resulted in officers finding more explosives in his home.

The juvenile reportedly first set off an IED explosive at a home in the 4200 block of Ashby Field Drive at 4:47 p.m., Colorado Springs police said. "Further investigation revealed that a nearby residence contained additional improvised explosive devices, along with homemade explosives and precursors," police said.

All items were removed and rendered safe, police said. The juvenile was not named.

There is no immediate danger to the surrounding community, police said.
