Air Force hockey will travel to play Bemidji State on Oct. 20-21 with coach Frank Serratore taking on his brother, Beavers bench boss Tom Serratore, for the first time since Oct. 2008

It will also be a bit of a homecoming for Falcons forward Matt Serratore, who is Tom’s son and a 2013 Bemidji High School graduate.

The two brothers last squared off in the 2008-09 season-opening series with BSU winning both games in northern Minnesota. It was the first time in Division I hockey history two brothers coached against each other.

The Falcons open the season at Alaska-Fairbanks Oct. 6-7 for the first of the two nonconference series versus Western Collegiate Hockey Association foes that month.

AFA will host Colorado College on Dec. 29 and travel to NCAA champion Denver on Dec. 30.
