Pueblo police are investigating a suspicious infant death in Pueblo.

On Friday police were summoned to a local hospital in

regards to an infant death. Officers were told a 19-year-old woman entered the hospital and told staff she gave birth to a child Dec. 30 at a home in the 2600 block of Jones Ave., where the baby was at the time. Officers went to the home and found a deceased newborn.

The case is under investigation pending the results of an autopsy.
