Authorities raided an illegal marijuana grow and hash oil processing lab just west of Woodland Park on Thursday morning, the Teller County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies got a search warrant for a house at 949 South Forty Drive, but waited until federal Drug Enforcement Agency agents arrived to begin going through the evidence because "these labs are extremely explosive," the Sheriff's Office said.

Authorities found about 60 plants and dozens of pounds of processed marijuana, as well as a THC extraction lab with several pounds of hash oil in various stages of manufacture.

"Hash oil explosions kill around 30 people each year in Colorado and are a serious danger to the public," the Sheriff's Office said. "We are committed to removing the illegal manufacture of marijuana product and concentrate dangers from our county."

No arrests were made at the home, but the investigation is ongoing. Woodland Park police also assisted in the raid.

Deputies raided three marijuana grows Wednesday, seizing more than 100 plants and more than 80 pounds of processed marijuana packaged for shipping. Two of the grows were near Divide, and one was in Woodland Park.

"Investigators believe all three locations are connected and are part of a large criminal organization that ships illegally grown marijuana out of Colorado," the Sheriff's Office said.

The raids are part of the Sheriff's Office's recent crackdown on illegal marijuana grows, dubbed "Get Out of Teller," which began Jan. 1.
