The 12-year-old boy who drowned Saturday in the pool at a Colorado Springs condominium complex has been identified as Zahki Adams.

A candlelight vigil for Zahki is planned for 8 p.m. Wednesday at 3400 Parkmoor Village Drive.

Two gofundme accounts have been established, one by family co-workers and friends to help with funeral costs and another started by House of Color salon. They had raised $6,805 total toward a combined $31,000 goal as of Tuesday afternoon.

The drowning was reported Saturday afternoon at the Sierra Pointe Condominiums in the 3400 block of Parkmoor Village Drive, near Palmer Park. Zahki was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police are investigating but said they do not suspect foul play.
