Longmont Emergency Unit and Boulder Emergency Squad personnel helped rescue three goose hunters from Terry Lake north of Longmont on Saturday night after the hunters fell through a spot in the ice while retrieving decoys, according to Boulder County Sheriff's Sgt. Brian Zierlein

Zierlein said the three men, along with a 12-year-old boy that accompanied them, were able to get into a boat they'd dragged onto the ice as a safety precaution and then sent the boy running to a home on the 13000 block of North 95th Street to call authorities.
