Earlier this week, the nominees for the 90th Academy Awards were announced. But unless you’re a film critic, chances are even the most hardcore cinefile hasn’t had a chance to see every Oscar nominated film. If you’ve missed out but want to be prepared for this year’s Academy Awards before the winners are announced on March 4, Cinemark has a sweet deal for you with the Oscar Movie Week Festival Pass.
From February 26 through March 4 you can see all the best picture nominees, including the Oscar shorts, for only $35. With nine feature films for $35, that’s an average of $3.89 a film, and that doesn’t even include the shorts. This deal includes a 50% off discount on any sized popcorn as well.
You can pick up physical passes at Tinseltown, which is the only Cinemark location this offer is available at in Colorado Springs, starting on February 16. However, you can purchase your pass right now online at cinemark.com. Keep in mind, showtimes are on a first come, first served basis.
I’ve only seen three of the nine best picture nominees (“Get Out,” “Darkest Hour,” and “Dunkirk”) but even for me, this $35 package is a good deal. That averages out to $5.83 a film, which is cheaper than buying a ticket a la carte. If you’ve seen most of the nominees already and only need to catch up on one or two, Cinemark is selling individual tickets for best picture nominated films starting on January 26.
