BOULDER — A doctor who works at Boulder Community Hospital is scheduled to stand trial on misdemeanor assault charges in December after two female hospital employees said he grabbed them around their necks in June in a dispute over paperwork.
Dr. Niles Utlaut is charged with one count of third-degree assault. He pleaded not guilty on Friday.
According to the Boulder Daily Camera (http://tinyurl.com/nyruf5v ), the women told police they were leaving the medical records department when Utlaut came up behind them and put his arms around their necks in a tight grip and ordered them to finish paperwork before they left the office.
