An arrest warrant was issued for a Honduran man suspected of fatally stabbing another man to death, Colorado Springs police said.

Hermis Pineda-Lara, 36, was identified as a suspect in the homicide of 32-year-old Efrain Murillo-Mejia, whose body was found the morning of Jan. 28 in the parking lot of the El Vecino Apartments, 1802 Monterey Rd., police said.

The victim's identity was difficult to determine because he was also a Honduran national, police said.

Pineda-Lara should be considered armed and dangerous and police said they believe he is making arrangements to flee Colorado Springs.

Anyone with information can call police at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP(7867).
