Hip and trendy Swedish clothing retailer H&M will open its first outlet store in Colorado at noon Thursday at The Outlets at Castle Rock.
With the 20,000-square-foot store, H&M will have eight locations in Colorado, including one at the Chapel Hills Mall. More than 400 people lined up in October for the opening of the Colorado Springs store.
The company's stores are best known for designing "cheap, yet chic clothing" and a line of cosmetics, primarily for people 18 to 45 years old, according to business publication Dun & Bradstreet.
H&M, short for Hennes & Mauritz AB, opened its first U.S. store 13 years ago on Fifth Avenue in New York City and opened its first Colorado store in 2011 in downtown Denver.
The company now operates nearly 3,000 stores in 53 countries.
H&M Colorado stores partnered with the American Red Cross by donating clothing to families affected by summer flooding along the Front Range and by taking donations for the flood relief.
