MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A southwestern Wisconsin historical site is offering expanded tours next month.

Villa Louis mansion visitors can take the tours on April 11 and April 12. They'll get to explore the mansion's nooks and crannies and get a detailed look at how caretakers maintain the building. Tickets are $15 per person. Reservations are required.

The site plans to offer similar expanded tours again in June.

The Prairie du Chien mansion is the centerpiece of a grand Victorian estate built by fur trader Hercules Dousman's family.
