The Colorado State Patrol is asking for the public's help in identifying the driver involved in a crash on Highway 115 that left one person dead early Sunday morning.

State Patrol says that at about 2:45 a.m. one soutbhound vehicle rolled near mile marker 38 in El Paso County.

Three people who were in the vehicle got themselves out of the vehicle and climbed back to the highway, where they attempted to get help from passing motorists.

A short time later, a southbound driver struck one of the crash victims, who was standing on the northbound shoulder, according to State Patrol. Ian Saj, 33, of Brush was thrown down an embankment and was later pronounced dead.

State Patrol says the vehicle that hit Saj continued south on Highway 115 without stopping. It's described as possibly being a Dodge Stratus or Intrepid of unknown color.

State Patrol is attempting to find any witnesses of the crash or any motorists who stopped to assist, along with the vehicle that fled the scene.
