NEW YORK (AP) — The Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum has named this year's honorees for its annual awards.

The museum says its Intrepid Freedom Award is going to U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel. The Intrepid Salute Award is going to General Electric Co. Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Immelt.

The awards are given to people the museum feels have made contributions to the nation that make lives better.

The awards will be given out May 22 at the museum.
