June 25. 2:30 p.m. CARGO PLANE RETIREMENT — Join the Georgia Army National Guard as it retires the last two C-23 Sherpa Cargo Airplanes at Clay National Guard Center in Marietta. The C-23 is the only Cargo Airplane operated by the United States Army...and it is only flown by National Guard crews. The C-23 supports all components of the Army including Active, Guard and Reserve training and mission requirements. When the C-23 is retired, the US Army will no longer have any organic Fixed Wing Cargo Airplane capability.

June 26. 9:45 a.m. ISRAELI AIR FORCE LOCKHEED MARTIN — The Israeli Air Force (IAF) will receive its first C-130J Super Hercules Aircraft from Lockheed Martin in an official ceremony next week at Lockheed Martin s production facility in Marietta, Georgia. This is the first of three C-130Js ordered by the IAF from the United States Government.
