A mudslide crossed highway 24 just west of Cascade at mile maker 293 after an afternoon rainstorm in the region, Monday evening, July 9, 2012. It sent charred logs, mud, rocks and ash on the roadway. Workers quickly opened it to one lane each way and anticipated the road to be fully open before 9 PM. THE GAZETTE / CAROL LAWRENCE 7/09/12 Photo by THE GAZETTE / CAROL LAWRENCE
