Colorado Springs veterans cherish their service - and their motorcycles

A War Dog Memorial was dedicated during a ceremony Monday, November 11, 2013 at Pikes Peak Community College. The memorial was designed and built by PPCC student Christopher Morrell to honor military working dogs. Adelino Valentin paused to momentarily place the muzzle of former military working dog "Basko" on the memorial. Valentin served in the US Air Force for 20 years and was a military working dog handler for three of those years. Photo by Mark Reis, The Gazette
