World War II veteran and past Honor Flight trip participant Howard Pease hugs a friend Friday at a send-off lunch for 23 Southern Colorado World War II veterans at the Hilton's DoubleTree hotel. The veterans will travel to Washington, D.C., next week to view the captiol's war memorials thanks to Honor Flight of Southern Colorado, a local branch of a national charity that sends World War II veterans to the nation's Capitol free of charge.
