According to the Canon City Area Fire Protection District, there is a growing wildfire south of the Royal Gorge. Evacuations have been ordered for the south side of the Royal Gorge park. Authorities are describing the blaze as a major fire that is moving fast and they ask that the public avoid the area around the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park.
