CHRISTIAN MURDOCK, THE GAZETTEStudents attach their links to the kindness chain Friday, April 26, 2013, at Sunrise Elementary School as part of the Widefield School District 3's "A Day Without Hate." Every link represents an act of kindness by a student or teacher throughout the school year as part of the school district's Rachel's Challenge, an anti-bullying program, based on the writings of 17-year-old Rachel Scott, who was the first student killed at Columbine High School in 1999. Widefield High School and Mesa Ridge High School student collected the chains from all the school for a display in the Widefield Community Center. (The Gazette, Christian Murdock)
