JERILEE BENNETT, THE GAZETTEVolunteers, including many families from the neighborhood and former Ivywild teachers, participated in an Arbor Day tree planting at the Ivywild School on Friday, April 26, 2013. The Ivywild Elementary School closed it's doors in 2009 and the building was put up for sale. The 20,000-square-foot school is being transformed into a mixed-use, business and community center which will include a stylish bakery, brew pub and meat market. (The Gazette/Jerilee Bennett)y
