In 2013, then 8-year-old Carter Gates (center) was diagnosed with Leukemia. He battled cancer for three year and a half years and through it all remained extremely positive. Carter and his family got a surprise visit on Wednesday morning from cancer survivor Frank Squeo, with Baking Memories 4 Kids. Baking Memories 4 Kids is a non-profit foundation that provides children with life threatening or terminal illnesses and their families an all-expense paid vacation to all the theme parks in Orlando, Florida. Squeo arrived to the Gates home via a CSFD firetruck to surprise Carter and his family sister, Charlotte Gates: mom, Kelly Gates; and dad, Monty Gates with the gift of their weeklong trip to Orlando.
