City Council Swearing-In

Incumbent, new, and returning City Council members were sworn in during a ceremony on Tuesday, April 18, 2017.

After new city council member Yolanda Avila is sworn-in, Judge HayDen Kane leans over to pet Puma, Avila's service dog. Avila is visually impaired and her service dog will be alongside her at City Council meetings. Puma was presented with his own badge yesterday and may soon become the most photographed dog in the city.
