Ex-POW Ed Beck, right, is hugged by Linda Wilber Van Skite before the Veterans Day ceremony in Memorial Park, Monday, Nov.11, 2013. Beck, 88, was in the U.S. Army during WWII, and was held captive in Germany for 6 months. He escaped from a medical camp in Ochatz where he went from 150 lbs. to 80 lbs. Van Skite's father, Charles 'Ted" Wilber, was also a POW during WWII in Japan.
