The third annual Evening of Tribute dinner to benefit Navy SEALs will be Thursday at the XJet private hangar at Centennial Airport, 8201 S. InterPoint Blvd., Englewood.

"Most of our other gala-style events take place inside of a hotel ballroom or a military library," said event organizer Jennifer Bragaw. "XJet is a very unique venue. It overlooks the Front Range and is completely gorgeous. It's nice to have such a great view."

A VIP reception begins at 5:30 p.m. Dinner, entertainment and a live auction begin at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets, which must be purchased by 7 p.m. Wednesday, are $135 each.

Money raised will benefit the Navy SEAL Foundation, a nonprofit that supports Navy SEALs, special warfare combatant-craft crewmen and naval special warfare support personnel.

The organization supports these troops and their families via retreats, holiday celebrations, children's camps, scholarship assistance and more. The organization also offers assistance to families of the fallen in the form of home repairs and mortgage support.

Since its inception, the dinner has raised more than $500,000 for the organization.

Organizers hope this year's dinner will bring in $300,000.

A shooting tournament benefitting the foundation will be held the following day at Quail Run Sports, 6852 Quail Run Circle in Kiowa. The event, which will begin at 8 a.m. Friday, will include a continental breakfast, lunch and a gun demonstration.

Tickets are $350 per shooter and $25 per non-shooter. Those wishing to attend must purchase tickets by 7 p.m. Thursday.

Tickets for both events can be purchased at
