Helping students with disabilities get into college and stay in will be discussed at a free public panel 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Thursday at Cheyenne Mountain High School.

The panel will include several college special service coordinators and admissions counselors.

The event is sponsored by the Learning and Educating About Disabilities Foundation. Officials note on the foundation's website leadcolorado.org that students should start preparing for college admissions before their senior year.

Alan Pocock, LEAD Director at Cheyenne Mountain High School, will moderate the discussion, which will include how to prepare for college, transition, documentation and accommodations.

The event will be in the Black Box Theater at the high school, 1200 Cresta Road.
