Red Robin in Colorado Springs and around the U.S. will hand out free burgers to educators as a sign of appreciation for those “who shape our futures one student at a time,” the gourmet burger chain announced.

Free Tavern Double Burgers will be available to teachers, counselors, administrators, education professionals, retired teachers and school bus drivers with valid IDs on June 5.

No purchase is necessary, and the promotion is dine-in only.

"Red Robin knows that remarkable people make us better and we look forward to welcoming all educators to our restaurants on June 5 to show our appreciation for all the hard work they put in throughout the school year," said Dana Benfield, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Red Robin, in a statement.

Red Robin has three locations in Colorado Springs.
