The Gazette is partnering with FOX31 Denver and the Colorado GOP to hold a debate with four Republican candidates for governor.
The debate will air live at 9 a.m. Sunday on FOX31 and will be streamed live on gazette.com as well as kdvr.com.
Participating in the debate are Secretary of State Scott Gessler, state Sen. Greg Brophy, former Senate Minority Leader Mike Kopp and Adams County GOP Chairman Steve House.
The four candidates will be questioned by Gazette editorial board writer Pula Davis and FOX31 political reporter Eli Stokols.
Readers are welcome to submit questions that they would like Stokols and Davis to ask the gubernatorial candidates before Sunday.
The participating candidates are among a field of seven vying for the GOP nomination in the June primary to face Gov. John Hickenlooper in the November general election.
Former congressman Tom Tancredo had agreed to participate in the debate but pulled out last week. Tancredo has said he won't debate in the primary because it is destructive to Republican candidates. The Republicans - as different as they might be - share the goal of unseating Hickenlooper.
The GOP did not invite candidates Jason Clark, a personal investor, and Roni Bell Sylvester, a rancher, to participate in the debate.
