Chad and Lisa Siebert recently resigned from Springs Ensemble Theatre. Chad was acting vice president and Lisa did marketing.

The Sieberts cite family responsibilities and time constraints as their reasons for leaving.

They conceived the company in 2008, and approached local actor Steve Emily, current SET president, to help recruit members.

The company’s first production was “Talk Radio” in 2010.

“With two kids and work and the administrative requirements of helping to run a small theater,” Chad Siebert says, “it came to a point where it was difficult to do it all.”

The company will decide later in the year whether to add members to replace the Sieberts.

“It means we move forward,” Emily says. “There’s a little more work right now. They were two huge shoes to fill. Their exit will have an impact, but we move forward.

“They know the door is always open to come back, even if just for one show. We’d be thrilled to have them back.”
