Military officials say the area near Fort Carson could experience a little more noise this week as soldiers conduct gunnery exercises using live, large-caliber weapons.

Fort Carson spokeswoman Dani Johnson says the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division will begin the exercises Monday and will wrap them up Thursday.

She says field training includes day and night exercises that incorporate artillery, attack helicopter gunships, Bradley fighting vehicles and Abrams tanks.
