DOUGLAS COUNTY - A former Colorado Springs police officer was taken into custody by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, according to Gazette news partner KKTV.
David Hendrickson was a CSPD lieutenant for "several" years, authorities told KKTV. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office said he turned himself in at its jail in Castle Rock.
Deputies said he had a warrant out of Adams County for pattern of racketeering and money laundering.
Colorado Springs police told KKTV that Hendrickson no longer works for its department after serving for "quite a while." He was listed in their system as "retired," but a supervisor said the department could not provide additional information Thursday.
No other details about Hendrickson's arrest were available Thursday night.
