Colorado Springs' next chance of rainfall comes Sunday, but temperatures in the 70s will stick around through next week, meteorologists say.
The National Weather Service in Pueblo predicted highs of 74 degrees Saturday, 72 degrees Sunday and 75 degrees Monday.
On average, highs are 66 degrees May 5 and 6 and 67 degrees May 7, weather service data show.
Skies are expected to be sunny Saturday and mostly sunny Sunday with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon and into the evening.
"We'll be a bit breezy Sunday, but not bad!" Gazette news partner KKTV reported. "A slight chance for a spotty shower or storm exists for Sunday afternoon in the Pikes Peak region. Widespread rain IS NOT in the forecast though."
Monday also has a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, which decreases to a 10 percent chance at night, the weather service says.
"While there will be spotty storm chances in the forecast for the Pikes Peak region, rain chances do not look good during the next several days," KKTV reported.
