Warm, dry weather is ahead this weekend in Colorado Springs, but Monday brings slight chances of thunderstorms, meteorologists say.
The National Weather Service in Pueblo predicted highs of 77 degrees Saturday, 74 degrees Sunday and 71 degrees Monday. Skies are expected to be mostly sunny Saturday and partly sunny Sunday. Monday has a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, with otherwise partly sunny skies.
"We'll keep highs in the 70s and 80s heading into the start of next week," Gazette news partner KKTV reported. "Each afternoon brings the CHANCE for a few storms and showers, best for the mountains, but it won't be a wet week. These storms will be fairly isolated and not everyone sees them."
On average, temperatures reach 68 degrees May 12 and 13 and 69 degrees May 14, weather service data show.
