Monday will be warm and dry around Colorado Springs with slightly overcast skies and a high of 80 degrees, forecasts the National Weather Service in Pueblo.

Highs will stay in the low 80s throughout the week with little chance of precipitation until the weekend, meteorologists said.

While Monday's high is several degrees short of a record 87 degrees set in 1963, Tuesday's forecast high of 81 degrees approaches the record high of 85 degrees set in 1895, according to the National Weather Service.

“Better chances at meaningful moisture arrive Saturday into early Sunday, especially for the Denver metro and into parts of the Pikes Peak Region,” said Gazette news partner KKTV.
