Skies will get sunnier while high temperatures sink into the 70s by this weekend in Colorado Springs, meteorologists say.
The National Weather Service in Pueblo predicted highs of 83 degrees Thursday, 80 degrees Friday and 75 degrees Saturday. Skies are expected to be mostly sunny Thursday, sunny Friday and mostly sunny Saturday.
"Thursday will be very similar to Wednesday, with warm temperatures and a few showers and storms in the late afternoon or early evening," Gazette news partner KKTV reported.
Thursday has a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m., increasing to 30 percent chance at night, mainly before 9 p.m., the weather service said.
"Friday looks like a great day, with dry weather and temperatures mainly in the 80s," KKTV reported. "A cold front moves through on Saturday, which will cool us off this weekend. Some could see showers, but most will stay mainly dry. ... It will be feeling more like fall!"
