A domestic violence suspect was arrested after allegedly sideswiping a city bus Tuesday while trying to flee pursuing officers, Colorado Springs police said.

Jeremy Lamb, 37, was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence-related menacing, felony assault, vehicular eluding and possession of narcotics. He's being held in El Paso County jail without bond.

Lamb allegedly hit a man with a broom and tried to run him over with his vehicle, police said. Officers tried to stop Lamb as he drove on southbound South Academy Boulevard. After turning into the Stratmoor Valley neighborhood, Lamb sideswiped a city bus before crashing into a parked vehicle in the 1200 block of Maxwell Street, police said.

Lamb was taken to a hospital with injuries that weren't life-threatening.
