UPDATE 3:35 p.m.
A flash flood warning has been issued for northwestern El Paso County, including the Air Force Academy and the Waldon Canyon burn scar, according to the National Weather Service in Pueblo.
The warning ends 6:15 p.m.
The weather service said a thunderstorm produced heavy rainfall was reported about 3:15 p.m. Saturday and could flash cause flash flooding in the affected areas.
Other affected locations include northwestern Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Cascade and Chipita Park
A flash food warning advisory has been issued Saturday morning for southwestern El Paso County, including south Colorado Springs, according to the National Weather Service in Pueblo.
The warning ends 3:30 p.m. and affects south Colorado Springs, Fountain, Stratmoor, Schriever Air Force Base, Fort Carson and the Security-Widefield area.
Those areas could see flooding because of possible heavy rainfall.
Just after 1:30 p.m., the weather service reported a thunderstorm in the affected area producing about an inch of rain.
"Turn around," the weather service said in a report. "Don't drown when encountering flooded roads."
