WASHINGTON (AP) — Michelle Obama is ready to celebrate the art of fashion.

The first lady will be in New York on May 5 to cut the ribbon and officially open The Costume Institute's new Anna Wintour Costume Center. It's opening after a two-year renovation at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The ribbon-cutting will be held in the museum's Temple of Dendur.
