Firefighters doused a blaze Saturday afternoon in the attic of a house 624 Alexander Road, the Colorado Springs Fire Department said.

The fire was reported just after 2:30 p.m., but crews had a hard time locating the flames. Firefighters eventually cut through a ceiling and found the fire, dousing it quickly, the department said.

Investigators were working to determine the cause of the fire and assess the damage it caused.
