The Colorado Springs Sky Sox open their 30th season Thursday evening.

The matchup against the Omaha Storm Chasers, Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, is scheduled to begin at 6:40 p.m. at Security Service Field.

While the weather will be mild compared to several recent Sky Sox home openers, you'll want to bring a jacket. The temperature at first pitch is expected to be around 53 degrees.

New food options include Bird Dog BBQ and Landos Creamery, which will be serving deserts and coffees.

Fans will also notice several improvements to the stadium.

The Sky Sox roster will feature the top two prospects in the parent Milwaukee Brewers organization, according to Baseball America. Outfielder Lewis Brinson (1) and pitcher Josh Hader (2) join other top prospects Brandon Woodruff, Brett Phillips and Ryan Cordell.
